1982 GPZ 1100

Has anyone had any experience with this bike? My neighbor is moving out of state and offered it to me for $3000. Whats the good and bad of it? This one has 6,500 miles

I rang him and he told me to look at the email he sent me earlier in the day (hes traveling for two days). He actually said $3,800. still a good deal?

It is a 1981, not a 1982, not that it matters much, but guys that sell things they have owned for 30 years should know. Good points are great comfort, great engine power, when new. Bad points are EFI on 1981 was not reliable, 1982 was probably worse yet with the DFI. For the most part it was a 20,000 mile life span either way. I loved my 1982 I got new, but they suffered and wore out quickly.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Even if the FI goes out it's a really easy swap to a set of BS34 carbs. I'd be all over that one.
