1075 piston head gasket contact

so my cylinder was milled and I have a +.005" deck height.(piston above the cylinder)
Im using a 72mm cometic head gasket
whats happening is the steel rings in the gasket are all slightly out of round(.01"-.02")
and the outside diameter of the piston contacts the areas of the gasket that protrude into the bore
Im dremel grinding a new gasket now to provide clearance
has anyone run into this situation
doing some research I found that running + deck height to improve squish band is not uncommon
