Each header flange should seat into the exhaust port pressing against the copper gasket.

Perhaps one of the pipes has been slightly bent out of position? :unsure:

martin_csr Offline User Posts: 7983 Thank you received: 1621	Assuming the Kerker came with a muffler hanger bracket & hardware, does the muffler hanger fit right? maybe it's the wrong one for your model? also, you probably should tighten the muffler bracket bolts last. ... 1981 KZ650 Competition Sports and Road
