kz750 ltd wont start

hello new to forum...i recently purchased a 81 ltd750 and i cant get it started ......i have cleaned all connections checked grounds and have a brand new battery on it but the starter just turns super slow .....i dont know what else to do ....its been sittin for a while but changed the oil and cleaned card ....starter turn extra slow or it will just click.......any help would be appreciated

Have you charged the new battery? What is the volt reading of the battery with ignition off? If battery is good and all connections are clean, you may need to pull starter and inspect brushes, gears, etc.

Would have the new battery "load tested" for free at Walmart, AutoZone or other dealer that sells batteries..

New batteries can be bad. Have you charged it?

yes battery fully charged instead of slowly turning engine it just clicks
