Why not. The only diffrent i can see is the male bullet connector for your wiring.

If you're going to transfer the first switch to the Z1 assembly I see no reason for it to not work. However it may be set for a different bypass pressure. I think the Z1 switch is around 2 psig, but don't have a book in front of me to confirm that.
I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

I'm asking if they are the same size.

I have no clue about the thread size but I do know that switches like those are more of a flow indicator than a pressure switch. The oil pushes the spring disc out of the way so to speak and in doing so the ground path is interrupted.

That's right, it's not a sending unit. I'm just wondering if the early and J models are interchangable.

Went ahead and ordered it. Should have it Monday. We'll see if they do interchange. If I had my druthers I'd get the new one but it's just not in the budget.

IT WORKS. They are interchangeable. Only difference is the O ring is smaller. NO PROBLEM. B)

It was a crap shoot but now everyone knows they are interchangeable. $16 bet, maybe I should buy a Lottery ticket, NOT.
