Good morning i need advice. I have to install some of that old style oil scraper piston rings that are only one piece, with a little spring inside. They seem to be very easy to crack..
There is a trick? I broken some of the old ones during removal and now im concerned about installation. Especially, should i insert the spring in the piston slot Before, OR not? Please help

Its a one piece ring, not like the newest 3 piece oil rings

What kind of vehicle are we talking about here? Those one piece rings are inferior to the three piece type when it comes to oil control.

Is a old little 350 guzzi. Im concerned because i broke some of the old during dismantling..
