Was working on a 77 kz1000, It is up for sale. Bay & CL (Crazy $$) Ya' never know? 77 came with the cam chain tower with the removable 6mm bolt. Was a little sloppy. So I took it apart and put a better idler in and the added a 1/4"-28 fine thread bolt. Tapped hole for 1/4" That bolt tightened up the dowel pin that spins the idler. .250" compared to .239" (6mm). Plus I sanded down the nice used rubber blocks that get hard. Then compensated by taking about .012" off of the 4 collars. So it can tighten down. Something I would use myself If I needed it.
Used longer bolt with a NY-LOK also with red LOC-TITE. Nice Improvement.
