Want new exhaust system.
25 Jun 2018 17:03
Looking to replace the black kerker header I like the Kerker system it's just been patched too many times with too thick metal looks UGH. Considering Vance Hines system or the Develic system . Leaning on the stainless Develic system. Any thoughts/input would be appreciated.

Delkevic are pretty well made and stainless. For the money they are hard to beat.

If you had a choice would you go with the Vance Hines system (chrome) or the Delkevic system (stainless) ? Thanks in advance for the replies and inputs. Perry

I recall reading at some point that the Vance and Hines pipes had problems with rust. I think Z1 enterprises stopped carrying them due to the issue. This was maybe 10 years ago, so maybe things have changed.
But given the price, the fact that it's stainless, and the positive reviews folks have posted here, I'd definitely go with delkevic.

Like the Del but don't really like the gold color and shape that well. The V & H is perfect to me but like stated rust is a problem and Z1 has said the quality has gone down so I don't know......... If you can believe it I went over mine with wd40 after a cool down after "every" ride for a little over 20 + years and this kept it 99% rust free and looking so nice. Was a crazy amount of work and dedication but after getting lazy just a couple of times a little rust started at the head and has grown a little. Now a little beat up from a black topped road that I had to take and all the years but just can't get rid of it.

Unless u race and every gram counts, stainless rules.
I bought delcevic and I will enjoy the absence of rust pimples as long as I have the bike.
