Not sure if I am in the right spot, but regardless:
I got a 1985 zn700 I bought a while ago and I'm having starter problems with it.
When I go to start it the starter motor turns but I get a grinding sound. Link to a video of me trying to start it:
I'm not sure if this is an issue with my start clutch, or maybe when I pulled the starter motor and cleaned it out I assembled it wrong. I don't think I put the brushes on the wrong way, but I did read about an issue where someone else didn't have their starter motor housing the correct way and they just had to turn the housing a quarter turn to fix their similar issue.
Any help will be much appreciated. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer them.
