Ive got a really big problem with the #3 plug hole on my 84 kawasaki zn700a1 ltd shaft drive....someone has heli-coiled it and didnt do it properly! I have inadvertently pulled the heli-coli right back out and now it's to big of a hole to fit another one back into it correctly.
But I've got an opportunity to get a 79 kz750 for basicly nothing, and I was wondering if the cylinder head would swap directly onto my 84 zn700a1 ltd without doing any major rework? Basicly, can I jut pull it off, clean it up & put it directly onto mine?

It might be easier and cheaper to have a Timesert installed in the hole. Ed

I thought Kawasaki's first 750-4 came out in 1980. Isn't that 1979 a twin?

Yes, he either has the model year wrong or it's a Twin. 1979 could be the date of mfg & not the model year.

Assuming it is a 750-4 cylinder head, would it work? I'd guess yes, but he might want to swap the exhaust camshaft.
The 750N Spectre exhaust cam is the same as the GPz & Zephyr 750s.
The Spectre's intake camshaft has the same part number as the 750E & 750H models el al, and the gaskets are the same as well.
