Oil temperature dipstick was created by gordone
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationIs there any point having oil temperature gauge dipstick installed?

Like these:

Or will the temp reading be wrong.... ?

I was thinking these was a good indication for monitoring the engine temp?

Punch in 0327 oil temp gauge and you can get it for 44.50 vs 56 bucks on ebay. Have not looked on Amazon but you could check there and maybe goggle to see if you can get it cheaper. Like the idea but not sure if I'll pick one up or not.

It's not much use really and not needed.
Doesn't sit in the oil so not a true indicator of oil temp.
The only oil it sees is what is thrown up by the clutch basket.
If you want to measure temp you would be better getting one that measuers engine temp at the head like this that surface mounts via the spark plug.

Was wondering about the design of that too Zed ....... also since I mostly ride in 65 to 85 degree weather am thinking I never get hot enough to worry about.
