Piston Ring Clearance

Today have I installed the pistons Wiseco 810CC 69mm bigbore set. I need some inputs, found something strange when I measured the Piston Ring Clearance.

I measured the cylinder wall to be around:
2,7112 inch = 68,86mm (new bored and honed, to fit these upgrade set)

Calculation given from the installation guide::
Top ring: 2,7112 x 0,005 = 0,013556 inch = 0,3443224 millimeters
Second ring: 2,7112 x 0,0055 = 0,0149116 inch = 0,37875464 millimeters

The top ring I measured to be around 0,34mm, but the second ring I measured to be 0,52-0,57mm....
And these is out the range from the table?

As I see it must the table from Wiseco be incorrect? because the rings was packaged together and marked with 69mm set and the top ring was perfect,
so the maker of the pistons rings must have made a plan of having a larger opening on the second ring.... ??

I`grateful for your inputs on these case! :)

The factory Kawasaki manual calls for the same ring gap for both the top and 2nd ring.

Per the Wiseco info posted:

Top
(69/25.4) x .005 = 0.014"

2nd
(69/25.4) x .0055 = 0.015"

As you can see both ring gaps are almost the same. Same as Kawasaki. I wouldn't sweat the difference.

So it should be good to go for me?

I just found it strange what I measured, I pushed the ring in with a piston from underside and measured the gap.
But I trust the ring package to be correct, they was marked 49mm and my cylinder is new bored and honed... so it should be okay ?

According to your measurements the top ring is right at the spec but the 2nd ring gap is greater. You can't put material back on the rings so there is nothing you can do. I'd just go with it.

It is correct to have the second ring with a larger gap .
It is to reduce gas pressure trapped between the rings and prevents top ring flutter and lifting.
It actually helps the top ring seal better.
With the correct bore size/bore clearance the Wiseco rings tend to fit straight out of the box with little or no filing to get the correct gap.
If your second ring is on the wide side then maybe your machinist went slightly wide on the bore clearance when honing the cylinder.
