ZN700 Camshaft timing was created by lemonyguy
Alright so my winter project was to do the valves on my ZN700 and some other maintenance. Everything is good and in spec and ready to ride except my camshafts aren't in. If anyone has a service manual or knows the markings please let me know. I'm ready to ride but I didn't add my own marking to the sprockets and I can't find what the camshaft timing marks after more searching than I care to admit. I even tried asking Kawasaki's customer service today and he did find it but my representative must have messed my email up or more likely I messed it up when I told him. I figured I'd try here and call them again tomorrow. Thanks for the help guys.

You can download the factory KZ750 manual off the web for free. The camshaft timing should be the same. Be sure to remove the cam chain tensioner spring cap and spring before installing the valve cover or the cam chain will be over tensioned.

Hello lemonyguy

You need only the GPz750_Base Manual.pdf

If you want to get a manual that covers the ZN700, try searching on EB for "KZ750 shaft manual".
You'll need the one thru at least 1984.

The 750Turbo site has 2 versions of the chain drive manual. Get the one with the gold cover as shown in Scirocco's reply.
I think it's the manual listed as GPz Base Manual.pdf. The other one there is a poorly copied version.

Kawasaki came through, a little longer than the few minutes that the guy said it would take but I got pictures. Thank you for the quick replies everyone.

Thank you for that link, I'll definitely grab that pdf just in case.

There was at least one inexpensive manual, around $20-25.
