I would not use a Fram filter on a motorcycle but 10-15 years ago Consumer report did an article on oil filters. The Fram Guard removed more and smaller partials than the competitors. Personally I'm a Wix and Napa guy. But in reality the frequency of regular oil changes has more to do with longevity than which filter one uses. IMHO.

I use the Emgo oil filters. they're usually rated pretty good in the tests I've seen.
