Inlet rubber (between carbs and inlet)

Please see attached picture, is these a problem? When I took the picture I was using some force / stress on the rubber..
so it`s don`t look like these in normal condition, as I see is not the damage on the rubber deep.

I think we will work for some years ?

I have noting who hold the weight of the carbs, its the rubber who take the weight, maybe these is a issue?

1981 KZ650-D4, with 1981 z750L engine (Wiensco 810 big bore).

OK, I think I will use them for the summer season and then replace them. I`s not deep, but I see what you saying
you never know when they start to leak....

I agree with Steve ...... leaky holders are linked to a lot of problems on here. I'm sure new ones cured the off idle stumble I had for years with my smooth bores. I know things are adding up for you but they could turn out to be a real pain in the butt when you go to fire up your new motor and getting the off idle and low end smooth......

Also I've always let mine hang W/Pods but am going to rig up a simple piece of wire this spring off the frame to the back of the carbs to take a little weight off em.

1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.
