Do you have the factory Kawasaki manual for your bike? Typically the FSM specifies where sealer is required. No reference means no need for sealer.
BTW, Yamabond, Kawabond, Hondabond, Suzukibond are all made by Threebond. There are various types too; silicone based 1200 series type and "liquid gasket" 1100 series type. And within each series there are different types too. I think the 1100 series is the type most guys think of when people say Yama/Honda/Kawa/suzki-bond. Threebond 1184 is the most common type you will find in the aftermarket these days.

Yes. I'd purchased a Kawasaki Service Manual for the shaft 1100 Spectre. Got it on Evilbay and is enroute from LA to IA. Yeah, I had a tube of Yamabond several years ago, WOW! That stuff is amazing no matter the name they put on the tube.
