Factory Ring gap for 79 kz1000

Does anyone know the factory Ring gap for a 1979 kz 1000 ltd with stock bore of 70mm? I have a Nic in one of my cylinder sleeves and I'm going to be replacing them all they will be 70mm bore with nos Pistons with new rings

Your piston and ring manufacturer should have that info supplied with the parts. When really active in this, I used to to figure a minimum of .1mm gap for every 24mm of bore.
And less then that for the second ring.
So, 70mm would be .29mm min

I just looked and my manual says .30mm to .50mm and .80mm as max limit.

Top 2 rings new 0.4 mm or 0.016 inch, maximum wear 0.8mm or0.032 inch
