?K? model cams in a J engine was created by idmurp
HI All

Im just starting my project bike, its a 1992 KZP imported into the UK a few years ago. It came to me in a box, so not 100% sure about what I have. It is a J engine but according to my manual the cams I have a from a K engine? Can someone confirm if thats true, and if so what effect will this have on the engine? Im struggling to find specs on stock cams.

Those pictures make the cams look in a much worse condition then they actually are, none of those marks can be felt with my fingernail, the flash makes them stand out a lot!

As I recall, the K/M cams are identical, save the tach drive. They have less lift and duration than the other models, hense the lower horsepower rating for the K/M.

Thats kind of what I had settled on, I found some specs in the manual last night. But I want to be sure that timing will still be on.
