Was wondering if an '81 KZ550 oil pan is the same as an '81 GPZ 550 D1? Kawasaki shows two different part numbers, but from pictures they look exactly the same.

Thanks,
Nate

that could be one black and one aluminum. check to see if they use the same gasket

Hmm...not only do the oil pans have different numbers, the gaskets also have different numbers. I'd be leery until you get positive confirmation from a KZR member.

The oil pans for a GPZ have fitting for an oil cooler. They should fit just fine.

I agree with speedbump, as the GPz has the modifications for the oil cooler. If you need one, now would be a good upgrade for an oil cooler. I see parts for Gpz550's on ebay quite a bit.

no I'm trying to fit a kz pan on a gpz bike so it would be a downgrade as I would lose the oil cooler which I had not seen before.
