Top end gasket kit, KZ1100 which one?

What kit do you guys recommend? I was going to just order the one from z1, but figured I would see if there was something better out there. Or should I just get the full rebuild gasket set for $16 more and just save the other gaskets for back up? I am also planning to get viton valve guide seals instead of what comes with the kit.

Are they available anywhere other than a dealer? I can't seem to find any.

Yes dealerships, or an online dealership source. You may want to try Partzilla.com and make a list of everything you need. You will have to go page by page through the fishe to be sure you don't miss anything. Once you gather up all the part numbers then you can search ebay to try to find a better price. Particularly for common gaskets like the head gasket and valve cover gasket. Also, get some Viton valve stem seals. They are one of the very few aftermarket parts that are better than the originals. A member on the forum sells sets.

Ebay using the part number, Partzilla, Z1 and Cheap cycle parts got me most of my stuff. Edit Nessium beats me again.:lol:

The valve seals in the kit caused my bike to burn so much oil i eventually got tired of adding oil and after 2yrs i fried some bearings in the crank. The rubber seals were the consistancy of bubble gum. The paper gaskets? Good luck on using those as well. Ive never seen such cheap stuff and theres much more where it all comes from. I lost alot of respect for z none after seeing what they sell and what it cost you. Very nice people though. :huh:

Although I've had good luck with the KL exh gaskets Z1 sells the Suzuki (thicker seal) that a few on here like better........ would have bought them if I had to do it over but was too late to change the order.
