Just wondering if anyone knows which generator covers would fit on my '85 ZX550A1 / GPZ550. They look very similar in terms of bolt placement but would like confirmation from other owners.
Thanks!

I saw a couple similar to the ZX style that appear to be about as good or better than that one. for about the same price.
1983 KZ550F SPECTRE GENERATOR COVER ..... appears to be silver w gold emblem/label.

Also what bike do you have? That stator in the listing is a 1-phase stator, so it's most likely from a 1978 to 1908 Kz650. Most Kz550's are 3-phase so you more likely need a 3-phase stator, unless your bike is a 1980 model.
If you put your model year (not necessarily year of manufacture) and the factory model designation (ends with a letter and number), in your signature, (see mine below) it will save us the trouble of asking in the future.

To the op. viewed from the underside. on the 550 notice that the bolt hole casting kinda blends into the grommet casting, whereas on the 650/750 the castings are separated.
Here's one with a stator. gold anodized. not sure if it just has cosmetic issues or what. 550 Spectre.
I'm assuming Spectre gold is anodizing. not sure. The other one I linked above is more similar to the ZX.
Whenever photos aren't definitive, ask if it has road rash or other damage. I don't think this one does, but I prefer to be certain.
