Maybe it's not overheating, I turned down the I turned on the pilot fuel screw from 2 turns out to 1 turn out readjusted the air screw got it to stop popping and now it will run with the choke fully off (progress) tomorrow I will change the spark plugs.

Hey guys with the modifications I have on my bike should I be using stock spark plugs something else.
76 Kz900 A4 custom
New front forks
mono shock swingarm
73mm piston kit - 1105cc
Dyna s ignition & coils
Pods
Vance & Hides exhaust with baffle
Suzuki gs1000 VM28 carbs
Main jet - 130
Pilot jet - 17.5
Air Jet - 2.0
Needle 5DL31 - 4
Float bowl height - 26mm
Air screw - 3/4 turns out
Pilot fuel screw - 1 turns out

Original spark plugs are fine....carbs need work tho by the look of the picture you post of the plug.

Never overheating.
Overheating = lean fuel to air mixture
Your spark plug looks like the opposite, really fat fuel to air mixture = unburnt fuel
It could be a problem with your choke enricher circuit
