Assuming the swing arm is still on the bike if you have an old piece of chain and 2 bolts you can easily make a counter-sprocket holder as shown below. Just wrap the big loop around the sprocket and the small loop around the swingarm pivot and the sprocket will not rotate when you try to loosen or tighten the sprocket nut. Some folks have a friend stand on the brake pedal, but that could cause brake related problems, and some folks stick a pole between the wheel’s spokes which is very hard on the spokes. Using an old length of chain as shown below doesn’t put stress on anything at all and prevents the sprocket from moving when loosening or torquing down the sprocket nut. Ed

I took a hammer and chisel to shock mine once and it loosened it enough to get it by holding the brake on and using a breaker bar........ still have the spot on it where it marked it up..... which reminds me I once planned on replacing that because of that......

I don't understand. When you look at your bike is it belt driven or chain driven? Ed

My bike is chain driven, and the sprockets are worn out.
I looked for parts number in a pdf for my bike i got from the dealer but the book says the bike has belt so no help there..
