Cheers for the advice. I will take the sump off & give her a good flush through with diesel, jizer & luckily I only bought some brake cleaner 3 days ago!!
Let's see what comes out!

Hi everyone, I haven't been on the forum lately so here's the update on my oil leak!
Thanks for all your help with
Helping me with my problem.
It WAS a hairline crack in the head after all.
Special thanks to scirocco who first spotted it!
I bought another head, stripped it down totally except for the valve guides.
Cleaned up the carbon, ground in the valves, did the shims (great fun)
Got it back together & now no leak !!! Yippee.

Balanced the carbs with a carb balancer,
Now I need to do the air screws adjustments.
I have replaced the 22 mm US carbs with 24 mm ones with an accelerator pump on carb no 2. The pilot screws are on the sides of the carbs now & not underneath.
Can anyone advice me how many turn's out I start with .

Cheers from the rainy UK

All i could find for the 24 carbs are the underneath air screws adjustments

Air screws adjustments on the side of the carbs could be different like 1 1/4 - 1 3/4 turns out.
