Wiring harness redo questions

Hey guys im wanting to redo my wiring harness and need to know all of what i can bypass and delete. I want to keep the gas gauge and the other gauges but want to delete everything else unnecessary including turn signals, back up lighting bullshit, flashers for hazards and turn signals, just all the stuff i dont need and make it bare bones. What exactly do i need to keep?

Ignition circuit, charging circuit, headlight,taillight,brake lights, horn and probably some illuminatiion for the clocks .Thats all that comes to my mind.

Just curious - where do you live that you believe removing turn signals isn't asking to be hit by a cager or ticketed by a cop? Ed

note: some of the wiring diagrams are no longer there (especially pgs. 1-10).

Not needed in Illinois and I've read Texas but not sure if that has changed sure to be others but too lazy to look em up .... I took mine off in 81 and have used hand signals ever since with no problems I always over do it to be sure its seen and have done it in front of cops a number of times and with a few behind me too. No helmet law either thank God although I know you and others think that's crazy and I won't argue. its crazy and I know I'm taking a big chance but I still can't force myself into one..

Western north carolina is where i live. Ya dont need turn signals here
