have spark but backfiring through carbs, has points so where do i start ? any info appreciated.

First introduce your self and your bike, we loving pictures.
One picture say sometimes more than 1000 words .

Second get service manual for your bike.

The more information you provide the greater the chance that someone can help. So –
Does the engine run or does it just backfire when you try to start it?
If it does run, does it backfire throughout the rpm range or only at idle?
If it only backfires at idle, what rpm is the idle set at?
Does it backfire constantly or just occasionally?
Does it backfire more or less once the engine is up to operating temperature?
Does the bike have the stock air box and filter installed?
Have you tested the carb holders for leaks?

Yes, get yourself a manual and perform all the general maintenance for the engine and we will go from there.

Sometimes caused by insufficient (too tight) intake valve clearance.

As everyone else stated, back firing has a cause of ranges, from timing (I think advanced timing, I am working on my timing on my 80 KZ440 at the moment as well.)

If you can, post a video on youtube so we can visualize everything that is going on. I have done that as well. Perhaps we can help each other a little bit. lol
