Torque for Clutch Cover - KZ550 shaft/F1 Spectre

How tight should the clutch cover bolts be? I can't find torque specs in any of the PDF manuals I found for this bike.
Thanks

Snug. If you insist on a number use the basic torque chart based on bolt size that's in the service manual. Just know that a little loose won't hurt anything and it avoids stripped threads.
EDIT: the chart says 52-78 in-lbs for a 6mm screw. I'd go to the lower end of that range.

They didn't usually give torque specs for machine screws (JIS cross-head). I guess it was expected you would be using a screwdriver and would just use reasonable force.

Thanks for the generic specs. Should be enough. And they're 5mm allen heads btw.

Was wondering that a while back (as I have allens too) and went with 60 inch lbs that's in the manual. Did that for the carb holder bolts and just go good and snug on the side covers. Can see where you could get into trouble going too tight with the allens but I've found out the 60 inch lb reading is about what I stop at by hand and have never had a problem.

...
The clutch cover bolts should be 6mm. The parts diagrams usually have the bolt sizes.

Typical 6mm allen bolts will require a 5mm allen wrench.
(Like how typical 1/4" bolts will require a 7/16" wrench.)

Yes, but he didn't specify if he meant the bolt size or the wrench size. In this case it probably won't matter, but if a guy could get into trouble when installing a something like a valve cover if he doesn't know the difference between the two.
