hello riders. so i installed a manual CCt fom APE in my zx900a ninja.
i followed their instructions..TDC fire stroke cylinders 1/4, then slowly turn the CCT while i rotate the engine by hand etc etc.
i started the bike but i wanted to register it at idle, so while idling i loosened the nut and slowly i rotate back the tensioner. at the poin the valve train started making noise i rotate it about a turn until the noise stopped, then i loose it for about 1/4 of turn. no noise.
the bike runs well.
is this done right? i have basically a HELL OF A FEAR that the chain can skip a tooth, or that the chain can be too thight.
i really don't want to destroy anything.....
