Rear Camchain Guide Pin Missing was created by BrokenWheel
During teardown this week, I pulled the rear camchain guide out only to hear the sound of pieces falling into the crankcase. I was able to find and retrieve the Holder (#13091) and Damper (#92075) but can't for the life of me find the Shaft/Pin (#13107).
Unfortunately, I never actually SAW this pin, so I can't be 100% certain it was ever there. I have taken off the oil pan, all the useful side-covers, and rotated the crank and transmission trying to get anything to fall out or become visible. No pin anywhere.
My questions are: has anybody else had similar issues? Is it actually possible for that pin to fall out of the rubber during removal (not pressed in)? Would the engine run properly without this pin?
Just trying to figure out if it was ever actually there, and if it's worth spending another umpteen hours looking for it.
Thank you much.
