Hello,

FSM ?

Thank you for the all tools list :)

What i mean is the very necessary tools that i will need to disassembly the engine.
For most of them we can replace by hand made tools...

I have to replace the shift forks...

Separate top from bottom case and get out all gears and shafts,no need to remove head, cylinder, pistons and crankshaft.

Once you get to the tranny you nay see more than shoft forks that need work. If you are that close in and haven't had a top end refresh, now's the time while its out. It is also going to be a PIA to move a full motor around on the ground or bench without a stand. Good luck. R

Hello,

Ok. The shift rod was not anymore in is axe.
A small part was going down...

Now I just have to check the shift forks to be sure.

- I have to pull off the shift rod.
Do i have to open and disassembly the clutch side to pull it off Or can i just take it by the transmission side ?

- I need a new transmission cover screws set. Those ones are too old.
Do you have a good address?

Thank you

So :

The shift rod clip was going down. Then the shift rod was free (not in it's axe).

I will disassemble the clutch to pull off the shift rod from the clutch side end.
Then i will be abble to check the 2 shift forks :)

I'm i true?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationMy version seems to have a cerclip on the clutch side. Impossible to remove the shift rod form the tranny side...
Do someone have the same ?

I need to go to the clutch end but i don't have the clutch tool. Afraid to use an impact driver...
Will this tool fit the kz1000 ltd 1978 ? :
