I got a new set of pistons and they came with buttons no circlips. What up with that?

Are we talking like teflon buttons? Not unheard of practice. They can't pop out like clips and score the cyclinder walls.

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress

Thanks for reply Amman,
Ya the teflon button, white, flat on one side and rounded on other side.
I have read where these will score cylinder wall. This is for a bike I hope to ride for a long time.
I have never seen these so it has me concerned. Are these thing reliable?
Thank you
Dan

Dan MTC pistons come with buttons work great, definitely NO scoring , I'll state the obvious but make sure the round end goes to the bore

They are the MTC pistons, so you guys don't think I have anything to worry about?
What do you do just slide them into pistons and nothing holds them in right?
Thanks

I wish I could use them for my build. The flat side goes against the wrist pins. What compression?
