1981 GPZ550 D1 Valves was created by Dorre
Hello. I thought I posted this earlier but I think I forgot to hit submit
I have a 81 GPZ550 with just under 50k Kilometres on it.
It developed a really bad leak at the base of the cylinder so I have it apart to repair. While everything was off I had a quick look at the valves. 3 of the inlets are shot and I was talking to my local dealer who said they are no longer available.
Are they still available in the the US (I'm in Canada), or are there aftermarkets available?
I'll probably do the rings as well. These seem to be still available from Kawasaki
Thanks

Not really sure about valve availability, but if you can't find OEM, look for Vesrah. I've used them in other bikes of a similar vintage. OEM quality

Intake Valve Kawasaki part # 12004-1016 shows to be available from partzilla.com or they are on ebay, if ebay is your thing.

Thanks all.
I've placed an order with Partzilla. Hopefully they can still get OEM.
My local Kawasaki dealer is a one man operation so I'm not sure if he had time to follow up for me.
Will let you know.

Also buying a spare used head will give you spare parts if needed. These valves come up for sale new on Ebay a lot. The used heads do as well. RD Springs makes new springs.

Thank you to all. Unfortunately I did miss those valves on EBAY. Thats a good suggestion about the spare head.
I ordered 3 inlets from Partzilla and it looks as though they have shipped already. I'm just happy I could get 3.
