Part Out or Fix? was created by Yorkie
I have a KZ1000 motor that I am trying to sell ($550 and was running recently but has a busted lower motor mount) and I am not seeing any interest at all so I was thinking that I should either part it out (the head was recently rebuilt with new exhaust valves and the piston and
bores are good) or fix the motor with a good set of cases. My question to the brain trust is do you think there is a market for the parts?

Were'd you break the lower case? Motor mount? Show a picture.?
Don't you look at ebay???
The "oinkjohnson" and "paiden" gang????? They have a cult of buyers!, the buyers drink their koolaid!
I buy alot of their stuff, I bid cheap!!!!!!! on stuff. If they don't bother fixing the auction with the part, I win!
They been gutting and selling parts for over 10 years piece by piece! bikes & engines.
Sell it all on eBay, piece by piece, might take you awhile, you don't want to ship a # 250 pound engine all at once!
Just search ebay! then start listing it!
At least, that's what I do!

To judge part value check "sold" auction values. Guys list stuff for all kinds of prices, but what matters is what someone paid.

You should be able to make at least that. Have you tried KZMarket?
