Every machine has a 'Cruising' speed where it and you, the rider, agree things are good. For some bikes 65 MPH is a stretch. I suspect that might be the case on a 400 at 65 MPH. Still if you can bear it:eulis wrote: So it won't hurt it to run at 6500 for periods of time

If there's no room for a larger front sprocket, dropping 2-3 teeth on the rear sprocket will give the same results.

Yes, this can be done also. One tooth in the front is equal to about 3 in the back since the stock ratio is pretty close to 3:1

Or 45/15 which equals 3.00/1.
You will have a hard time finding anything other than a 15 front.
I have a 33,38 and 41 rears. They are out there you just have to look.
