Hi guys it's been a while since I've on here, quite a change.
Does anyone know the main journal size of a 78 650 engine?
Thanks,
Les

Here is a link to the factory Kawasaki service manual. A very useful piece of literature for people that own bikes as old as ours. You can find the crank pin size inside too.... www.zedrider.co.uk/service--owners-manuals.html

Hey Les, good to see you.
The crankshaft journals' outside diameter standard is 1.3773~1.3780 in. (34.984~35.00 mm).
Service limit is 1.3768 in. (34.97 mm).
If the diameter is less than the service limit, the crankshaft must be replaced.

More to come.....
