Dyna s trouble was created by MassKZ
I installed a dyna S on my KZ650. The bike runs like a champ at WOT and during acceleration , idles a bit ruff and spits and pops at low and cruising speeds. I was going to static time it, but when I put the light on it, it just stays on no matter the plate position and when I rotate the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you set it at full advance per instructions? Spark advance free?

I did set it at full advance. I'm going to double check to make sure the spark advance is moving freely.

make sure the advancer can rotate freely and snaps back sharply, check it running with a strobe.

Thanks for the help everyone. I have it dialed in almost perfect, but it's still a little lumpy and it spits slightly at cruising speed. I think the carb boots are the issue.

Yeah. I synced them a while back. I'll double check them when I have them off, but I noticed a cracked in one of the boots.swest wrote: Carbs synced?
