Engine Identification/Information Help

At any rate, I stumbled across the engine pictured below, and it seems like a pretty good buy, but I'm a little curious about some things. The listing says that it came off of an '81 KZ750, but some covers look a little odd, etc. Can anyone shed a little light onto this? Specifically, whether or not there are going to be major discrepancies in the mounting locations?
Thanks!

I'll spare everyone the details of why exactly. (However, on that note, if anyone has an 4-cyl 750 engine, or at least bottom end that they are looking to part with, hit me up)

That change was probably from so many damaged guides from not releasing the tension before installing the cover.martin_csr wrote: the upper cam chain slipper guide is housed in a bracket bolted to the engine (instead of being fitted into the valve cover).
Probably would have been cheaper for Kawasaki to just emboss a warning into the valve cover itself.
1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.
Kz550 valve train warning.
