Spring o-ring was created by jacoatl
Hello everyone,
Looking for help on a piece found while dis and assembly of sprocket and gear shift cover.
The thing is a size of a dime , looks like a o- ring but looking closely it's a o ring made of metal spring.
I removed the wheel, chain, sprockets and the cover to replace the leaking seal that the gear shift stem/shaft goes through. Did remove some other things that was behind the cover for a looks-see.
Is there anyone familiar with this spring o-ring thing?
My bike is a kz750g twin
Much obliged

I don't know whether or not this seal is the type that contains a spring.
I believe such springs are intended to produce a tighter grip by the inner diameter of the seal onto whatever component fits through the seal.
The part number for this particular seal is 92051-005.
Good Fortune!

Thanks for the quick response, most likely from one of the seals now that I know there is one inside. Will check tomorrow.
Thanks again.
