Starter replacement

I have read through other post about finding a replacement starter but seems they never get answered so I figured why not try and see if I can get one. I have 81 kz440d ltd starter is mitsuba 8203. Can only find 2 used ones on ebay for $250+! Or new ones for roughly the same price. Is this seriously the only option? There aren't any aftermarket new starters that will fit my bike that aren't way overpriced!? I can find starters for other bikes for as low as $50 new! Please someone has to have some kinda information on this.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationWhat is wrong with your current starter? Assuming it isn't totally wrecked you may want to rebuild it. Kits are available (see link below for one example). Ed
