While looking for something completely different, I stumbled across this interesting article. He argues for some counter-intuitive solutions, such as smaller exhaust ports.

Hey, had a look at this and it is really good info - spot on racing engineering and theory. Thanks for posting this, TexasKZ! There are other articles there that are also valuable to us KZ owners, too.

Kevin Cameron, for anyone that doesn't know or remember, was one of the world's best tuners involved in world class 500 cc GP racing in the 70's and 80's...he worked with the likes of Cal Caruthers and King Kenny Roberts, if memory serves...I do remember his "TDC" column in Cycle World magazine....
