shift shaft seal for 550? was created by Zaddict
Anybody know the part number for the shift shaft oil seal for a 550? Or which parts diagram to look at to find it?

Thanks!

It's under "breather, oil pan". I'll see if I can find it.

I looked up Kz550D1, though. Not Zr550.

originally with part number prefix 92049B ...

Here's the Zeph:

But now both (Kz/Zr) now use the new number: 92051-005

Ah good, so it would be 92049B? I'll see if the zr550 part is the same. I know where to look now, thank you.

I see only one seal though, not 3. Maybe the others are internal?

Two on the sprocket cover inside and out. One on the "mission cover."

I edited my post with a new link. Both use same part now.

Please double check me, though. I don't want you getting a countershaft seal. Unless you also need that. :)

The Kz diagram shows 3 seals. The ZR only 2. Doesn't the ZR use a clutch actuator on the clutch cover? That clutch pushrod seal would be eliminated then.

Same deal on the sprocket shaft. Both now use 92050-024.

Please double check in my previous posted links.

OK, thanks for all the info. Looks like my shaft seal isn't leaking at all when I have the cover plate attached, but as soon as I remove it oil pretty much pours out. Will need to address that soon.
