Shortening Kz550 clutch cable

I have a lot of photos to post, so will try to post them all first and add comments later.

This diagram is specifically for the 1981 Kz550D1 Gpz. 54011-1025 clutch cable and the aftermarket substitute K28-8062 cable.
Other Kz550's will have different overall length, but the free-length measurement should be the same.

The red dimensions are the important ones when making a new cable.

REMEMBER: The cable must also go through the lever end barrel (about an extra 5/16"), so make sure it is included when you cut!!!! Too long is ok. Too short is a disaster.

These measurements are sort of an average from several different cables. Your measurements might vary +/- 1/8" or so.
