$5 off rebate on Shell Rotella Oil

Rotella is fine oil for use in motorcycles. 5W-40 synthetic or 15W-40 mineral oil. This stuff as more zinc and phosphorus, for high pressure contact protection, than your typical automotive oil (and more than many motorcycle oils too). Safe for wet clutches, although that's the case with most diesel engine oil regardless of certification.

The rebate is all good, but be aware Shell and the rest of them frequently don't honor their rebates as one would expect. For sure only buy one gallon at a time if you want $5.00 back per gallon. Go in and buy 5 gallons and expect $25.00 rebate, you will be in for a big shock, you only get $5.00. Buy 1 gallon, get $5.00, if you buy 100 gallons you still get $5.00 if you buy at one time. Go in buy 1 gallon, go out to the car, go in buy 1 gallon and go out to the car, that is OK, but buy 2 or more at once, you are ripped off every time. Just for info from personal experience and many others have had the same thing happen.

Or just go to Walmart and buy it for almost $5 cheaper than the parts store.

Autozone and O'Reily's are on the rebate list and typically offer decent prices. Walmart everyday prices are cheaper, but I just hate going into that place.
