Trouble finding Pistons for KZ750 twin was created by trashymonkey
I have a 1978 Kz750 twin that I recently tore down due to oil on the spark plug. I took the cylinder jugs to a shop and he informed me that he can't find the pistons or rings. I need 2nd over, since it's been bored once already. The only option he gave me was having them custom made at JE Piston in California, but they have a 4 part minimum and want $800 for them.

Does anyone here know where I can find 2nd over pistons for this bike or am I just SOL?

Much appreciated

Thanks in advance.

Better off finding good used bore and pistons on eBay.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationNo eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationFinding 1mm oversized pistons is not going to be easy.

There are some .5mm OS pistons and rings on ebay but they are not cheap. Any port in a storm though.

I just sold an entire engine to Doctorot and I think he just wanted the bottom end - you might check with him.

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

Does the ebay seller "cruizinimage" have them? He sells a ton of Chinese pistons, mostly out of production hard to find stuff, all "big bore" too.

Maybe he has something?
