I'm trying to rectify the mismatched motor mount hardware that the previous owner installed. What is the correct size for the lower right motor mount to frame bolts. This is the mount below the clutch cover/ignition housing. There were real short bolts (maybe an 1" to 1 1/2") installed, and they don't look correct. It looks like the bolts should go all the way through the frame, but the rear hole in the frame only seems to have threads halfway through the frame tube, and the front hole seems to be blocked. Might be a broken bolt in there.

Check the diagram in the link below. It shows most sizes for bolts that fasten to the frame. Ed

It's a little vague, but it looks like I want to small upset bolt 8x17. That works out to about 3/4 of an inch, so I guess the PO wasn't a total hack... I wonder why the hole goes all the way through if they weren't going to tap it.

On those lower mid engine mounts, two small bolts attach the mount plate to the farm and 17mm bolt goes through the plate to the engine. There is a tabbed nut that bolts up. It fits in a recessed area in the case. Also BTW with the pipes on it's a PIA to install. I found it easiest to securely/stiffly tape the tabbed bolt to a long thin screwdriver. It makes positioning it easier. When the pipes are off they are a breeze to bolt up by hand. R

Welded in bosses are drilled all the way through but not quite threaded all the way.
The bolts are M8 thread and around 20mm long.

I called D&G, and they confirmed the bolts were 1", of course this is with a billet mount so it's a little thicker. I ended up getting 20mm long bolts or about 3/4 of an inch. I also picked up new bolts for the front mount and the 12mm engine bolts. I needed a little extra length for the case guards I'm running. The 12mm x 75mm bolts were 5 bucks each! I think the tabbed nut will be accessible with the Delkovic pipe. At least I hope! I had to loosen the exhaust to change the oil last time.
