Can someone walk me thru on how to time it with a test light. It has Dana coils & ignition. I understand the part about moving the points plate for 1 &4 and how to do 2&3. The way we do it with a timing light.
Were to attach and or use the test light is what`s confusing me.

Use a timing light to set the timing. It is set at full advance on the Dyna S, then lower the idle. Make sure the spark advance is free and lubed.

Typical timing light hook up is to the positive battery terminal, chassis ground (or neg. battery terminal) and inductive pick-up on the appropriate plug wire (1/4 or 2/3) of the timing you are setting.
