broken oil filter cover was created by Gregl
:( :( :( so i went to replace my oil on my 1981 kz 440 ltd and putting my new filter in a broke my oil filter cover in half. is my bike okay sitting there with its "pants off" until i get a new one in the mail? i dont think it would be an issue but better safe than sorry.

I would probably duct tape the old one in place just to keep the opening covered until you get a replacement.

If you plan on working on your bike & doing any maintenance procedures, you have to get a FSM, a ft. # & an inch # torque wrenches, & follow the torque specs in the manual for any bolts you tighten, or you're going to start stripping threads or breaking bolts on your bike
