This is the principle I have followed my entire life and it has worked on all my bikes. Including their replacement engines....

LTD 1000's didn't even come with center stands from the factory, so I would think level on level ground

This thread turned fun. But i'm glad I asked as I had never heard of telescopic mirror idea. Luv it.
Always had me very curious, as the difference is certainly not just a few drops of oil. And as I ride through some hot areas, for long hauls, I always felt better knowing I had as close to full as possible. Was curious if others had noticed, or even compared, the differences before.
