Pulling it! was created by Markovich
Ok guys, after I removed the head and cylinders I remeasured the chain. It measured right at the limit. I just couldn't see having it apart as far as I do without finishing the job. So, pull the engine, crack the cases and replace the chain and guides. It took me a long time to make the decision. I had been fretting over it all along. My brother was over today and he said wouldn't it be a lot easier to assemble on the bench. That did it for me! So off to work I go this evening and it's ready to pull tomorrow. Remember, head and jugs as well as carbs were already off. So, now this one is down for a while as I need to save my sheckles for tires on my ZL. At least I will have something to ride this summer. I'll move this to projects if I can figure out how and get some pictures of my progress as I go. Later, Keith

I only know of three guys (good back yard wrenches) that have used a master link cam chain and none of them ever had a single problem. NADA
All three used new guides and hard rubber tensioner wheels too.
Anyone else?
