i am getting ready to reassemble my engine and out of the corner of my eye I noticed one of the cam chain guides has a few hairline cracks in it. doesn't seem to be weak. is this normal for these at there age? how would you proceed?

I'd replace it and the rest of them. A broken cam chain can destroy an engine.
